Is He a Puppy or a Bunny?

Among the most common household pets, rabbits are easily the most overlooked.
Sweet and gentle, these creatures bond with their human families the same way that dogs and cats do. Sadly, rabbits are the pets most often surrendered at shelters and returned to stores. Aside from being neglected and abandoned as pets, rabbits also face the cruel fur industryAngora wool has been popularized because of its incomparable softness and its warmth in winter. But is this worth incomparable cruelty? How do we regard rabbits as pets yet also sport clothing and accessories made from them? If we did the same with a dog or a cat, it would be considered an atrocity. A family in Nashville has adopted a sweet rabbit who proves these creatures are just as sweet, complex, and innocent as any other pet.
