Firefighters Work for an Incredible 9 Hours to Rescue Dog Who Got Stuck Underground

As guardians to our pets, our biggest concern is keeping our furry friends safe from harm.
We do our best to protect them in the ways they cannot protect themselves; searching out quality food, providing them with secure collars, making sure they are up to date with visits to the vet, and keeping them by our side when we can. Unfortunately, there are times where the unexpected happens despite all our efforts to keep our pets safe. Curiosityoften gets the best of our critters, leaving them in unsafe predicaments as it did in the case of Rachel Stormonth-Darling’s sweet dog Moppit.
Rachel had been searching for her beloved dog Moppit for eighteen hours when she finally heard a whimper come from underground, of all places. “I was scouring the garden when I noticed the stream had gone dry, which had never happened before. I put my ear to the connecting tunnel and heard Moppit,” Rachel explained to the Daily Mail. After the tunnel she was exploring collapsed as she tried to dig her way out, the poor pup was stuck fifteen feet underneath the neighbor’s patio.
