Months after Steve Greig’s beloved dog passed away, he was still feeling hopeless. And that’s when he turned his sadness into a great idea: why not give another dog a loving forever home? And not just any dog. Steve went to the local shelter in Denver, Colorado and asked for the “least adoptable” senior dog. Senior dogs are, sadly, commonly overlooked, even though seniors still have lots of love to give. Steve adopted a 12-year-old Chihuahua with a heart murmur and four bad knees. And then his family of “unadoptable” pups grew – and grew. And then grew some more. Now Steve has opened his home to not one, but ten senior dogs.
