Being a stray dog is hard enough. It’s tough looking for food, finding shelter, and avoiding
injury, but people can also be especially cruel to stray dogs. Just three months ago, a stray dog in Paraguay was fed a lit firework leaving the dog badly injured. Other dogs have been badly injured until finally rescued from their difficult lives on the streets. Some dogs never get a chance to be rescued because people are incredibly cruel to homeless animals, without considering that their life is significantly more difficult than other animals. Recently, a stray dog in Thailand suffered a horribly, cruel injury after a drunk man decided to “have fun.”
Photos surfaced online of a dog’s snout on the ground with the nose and teeth intact, but no body attached. Other gory photos show the poor dog roaming with no snout and a bloody, painful wound on his face where his snout is missing.
The dog was stray roaming the streets of Sabah, Malaysia. Locals say that a drunk man committed the horrible act of animal cruelty “for fun.” Apparently he did it just because the dog begged him for food. He could have simply turned the dog down. It was not only necessary, but completely horrifying that he chopped of the dog’s snout.
When he was found, the dog was being taken care of by Malaysian Animal Association. Sadly, the vets there did not think he could survive the injuries. It’s unclear if he is still in their care or if he’s had to be euthanized. But one thing is clear… the person who did this should be charged with animal cruelty. The state of Sabah strengthened their Animal Welfare Enactment Law after it was criticized for too weak. Sign this petition to ask authorities to take this horrific case of animal cruelty seriously!
