Two adorable Samoyed puppies were recently rescued after being found abandoned and
that’s not even the worst part. The puppies were dyed pink. Thankfully, kind people spotted the pair after they were left in a forest near Gelendzhik, a resort town in Russia.
The pups were dyed pink and used as props, merely to entertain tourists and sit for photos. But as the dogs grew up, the owners apparently couldn’t be bothered to take care of the dogs and instead dumped them . Leaving them to fend for themselves with no food or water, the dogs soon became separated. But thanks to social media, the heartbreaking news was spread and volunteers managed to catch both dogs and brought them to a shelter is Moscow, where they have since found a forever home.
The dogs had several injuries, issues with their skin and fur, as well as inflammation and eczema. One of the dogs had shrapnel removed from the side of his body and the other dog was shot in his ear. There are also concerns that the dye used to color the dog’s white fur could have impacted the dogs’ health. But all in all, we are thrilled these dogs are finally receiving the care they deserve and as you can see in the above video, the two puppies happily playing with each other, as well as their human caretaker!
