This is the concept which the people at Edgar’s Mission in Australia stand upon and devote their lives to. Edgar’s Mission is taking a stand for the 9 billion innocent creatures who lack legal protection and suffer extreme torment until the end of their lives in the meat, dairy, and egg industries.
Situated on 153 acres of green, rolling hills this beautiful sanctuary provides lifelong love and care to over 350 rescued farm animals and promotes equal compassion, love, and understanding for all creatures of the earth. Edgar’s Mission stands by these values and takes in any animal, regardless of ability or condition, providing them with the best care possible. Many rescues arrive at the sanctuary with mobility issues, but their staff is always ready to find a way to get them moving!
Saturday is a little lamb with a debilitating condition in her hind legs. The mission fitted her with a wheelchair to get her rolling into her new greener pastures and now she’s happier than ever!
Leon Trotsky is a little pig with a lot of spunk! Originally written off to be killed because his hind legs were accidentally crushed, he now can be found cruising happily along in his new wheels at the mission.
Born with crippled front legs, Lemonade is a little optimist who defied all odds. He loves nothing more than receiving kisses and cuddles from his human friends.
Although 64 can’t see very well, he now gets around easily with a little help from his bumper and his best friend Annabelle!
Edgar’s Mission may be a small sanctuary, but it’s powered by a lot of big hearts who live to give second chances. Unfortunately for farm animals like Saturday, Leon, Lemonade, and 64, the meat and dairy industries do not. Sadly for animals on commercial farms who suffer these types of deformities, disabilities, and life-threatening injuries, their lives are very short.
