Life for homeless dogs can be incredibly difficult. People generally are wary of these
animals as they fear they might be aggressive or carry disease that could cause them harm. This is very true for larger homeless dogs – especially in the case of Pit Bulls. This particular type of dog carries the burden of years of false stigma and myths that they are naturally vicious animals, when actually, this stereotype comes from the fact that they are frequently abused and misused in illegal dogfighting rings. With this in mind, life for homeless Pit Bulls is exponentially more difficult as they struggle to find food, clean water, and shelter to survive.
