Learning How to be a Horse With a Little Help From His Friends

It can be hard not to become desensitized to the plight of orphaned animals.
Time and time again, we are met with heartbreaking stories of animals who lost their parents to poachers, were separated from their mothers at factory farms, or sadly, rejected by their parents for one reason or another. Even if these young animals are lucky enough to make it to a sanctuary, that’s not where the work ends. In the absence of the animal’s mothers, sanctuary workers need to step in to ensure the babies are developing correctly and stay in good health.
